21 Days of Hope

Preparing Our Hearts for Easter

Prayer guide for Lent 2026

You’re invited to join us on a journey of prayer through this season of Lent, the 21 days leading up to Easter:

Starting Sunday, March 15, during church service and ending Friday, April 3, at the Good Friday service

Just like a deer that craves streams of water, my whole being craves you, God. My whole being thirsts for God, for the living God. When will I come & see God’s face? —Psalm 42:1-2 CEB

    • Set aside 15 minutes to pray daily Monday-Saturday in a place you will not be interrupted so you can simply be alone with God.
He is your loving Heavenly Father. He is waiting for you with open arms. Run to Him!

    • Read the scripture of the day several times then refer to the prayer guide.

    • Gather with the body of Christ. There will be a time of prayer in each Sunday service during the 21 days of prayer.

  • First, read the scripture of the day.

As you begin your time in prayer, use these prompts as a guide; open your heart and talk to God in your own words.

    1. Lord God, make me thirsty for you. …

    2. Lord God, I confess the things that keep me from You. …

    3. Lord God, make the people I know to be thirsty for you including. …

    4. Lord God, make everyone in Crossroads Church thirsty for you. …

During this time of seeking God, also spend time in quiet.
Listen for Him to speak to you; let the Holy Spirit guide you; ask the Holy Spirit to fill you & empower you to obey what He is calling you to do.

End your prayer time by giving thanks to God.

    1. Thank God for who He is. …

    2. Thank God for His blessings. …

    3. Thank God for what He will do in the future. …
