Ministry Training Center of Ny/NJ

There are two levels of training offered as follows:

Leadership TRACK

These courses are designed for church ministry leaders not seeking ordination. In addition those on this track may take the following Pastoral track courses: Old Testament Survey; New Testament Survey; Basic Doctrine.

Pastoral TRACK

These courses are designed for those seeking ordination. A student taking these courses must be a local ministerial candidate or a conference ministerial candidate. All leadership level courses are approved for ordination in the Free Methodist Church.

Understanding God’s Word: Old Testament Survey
3 credits - English - Online Only

Learn at your own pace with an assigned training mentor.
Cost: $150
Rolling Admission
Trainer: Willie Kirchhofer, D.Min
The course will familiarize the student with the chronology, theology and main themes of the Old Testament. The student will understand God’s progressive revelation and unified purpose as set forth in the Old Testament and as fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus. Guidelines for the interpretation of various forms of Biblical literature will be given. Finally the student will be introduced to numerous resources available for an in depth study of the books of the Old Testament.

All courses are approved by the Board of Bishops of the Free Methodist Church for those seeking ordination in the Free Methodist Church USA.

Note: Those actively planting a church can apply to take classes free.

If there is financial need a scholarship can be applied for.
